Having studied art and the history of art at school I went on to study the classical techniques of drawing and painting for three years in Italy. Since leaving college I have concentrated on commissioned animal portraits. For ten years I lived in Gloucestershire where painting dogs and horses became my primary subjects. While in Gloucestershire I also spent time working for an equine veterinary practice for thoroughbred racehorses which gave me a valuable insight into the anatomy and conformation of the horse.
I now live in Scotland with my husband and two small children, however I continue to work country wide.
